2008 Update

This year Park Avenue Wealth Management Invest in Others program has adopted a family in Redford for Christmas, through Volunteers of America. The family consists of a single mom with two young boys. The eldest boy has been diagnosed with cancer and is going through chemo treatments each week. We were so touched by this family that we decided we were going to make this a Christmas to be remembered. Sarah and Jennifer went shopping for four hours and came back with everything on their wish lists and even a little extra! They purchased everything from socks to learning laptops! We are also giving them $100 for food so they can have a nice Christmas dinner.

Park Avenue’s Invest in Others campaign is also donating funds to Gleaners, Michigan’s largest food bank, where every dollar donated feeds one hungry person for one day. We are not only donating cash to Gleaners, but volunteering our time as well. The Park Avenue staff will be spending an afternoon at Gleaners this holiday season.

If you would like to learn more about the Park Avenue Invest in Others Program or how you can reach out and make a difference this holiday season, please call the office at 734-432-1966.
