Advance and Protect

At Park Avenue Wealth we utilize our unique Advance and Protect Investment Strategy aiming to profit when the markets are up and to try and preserve capital when the markets are down. We do this by following our proprietary buy and sell signals utilizing technical analysis.

Does Buy and Hold Investing still work? Does Asset Allocation still work? We believe Buy and Hold and Asset Allocation are not enough with this market environment because they rely on staying mostly invested all the time. When we see signals which tell us the trend could be down, why take the risk?

Advance and Protect is different than Buy and Hold and Asset Allocation because when we see the trend looking down and receive our sell signals, we will move to protection mode which could be as high as 100% in cash. Likewise, we will deploy capital to try and advance when the trend looks positive and we receive our buy signals. The end result, we believe, can help our clients both Advance and Protect their portfolios.

In Falling Markets, we move into Protection mode, and raise cash. The allocation may look like this, with red indicating your cash position.

In Rising Markets, we move into Advance mode, and deploy our cash to our investments. The allocation may look like this, with red indicating your cash position.
